First call for abstracts
Conference theme: 'Genre and Register: New Developments'
Conference dates: 28–30 November 2025
This year's annual Martin Centre for Appliable Linguistics (Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China) conference will be held 28–30 November. The theme for this year is 'Genre and Register: New Developments'.
Before the conference, 25–27 November, an institute on Systemic Functional Linguistic language description will be taught by Prof. J. R. Martin, Prof. Wang Zhenhua, A/Prof. Yaegan Doran, A/Prof. Michele Zappavigna, A/Prof. Zhang Dongbing and Dr. Yu Zhigang. (A provisional schedule is provided below.)
We cordially invite scholars and students from around the world to attend the conference and the institute.
